The Return of Software

in General Interest, Software

I love posts that start with “sorry I haven’t posted in a while”. Like readers hang on every word, or the lack thereof, from the author of said blog.

So, sorry I haven’t posted in a while. However, it’s with good reason.

When I started REAFFINITY it was to solve a particular problem, namely to help me find homes for sale without having to find a computer every time I drove in a new area. It was an endeavor to break out of corporate software development and it was a blast!

It leveraged those things I know well, like writing custom software, with the ability to be creative in ways not pursuable in large corporations.

Unfortunately for me, companies with deeper pockets took an interest in the same market and suddenly no joy. REAFFINITY took a slight detour helping small companies with their tech needs but without a central focus in software.

Today I’m happy to say that has changed and there is joy once again. The past couple of months have seen intensive effort developing new software. Maybe I misspoke about it being fun, but it’s what I do best so at least I achieved flow.

So what is this software? Well if you help people get out of their high rate mortgages then you’ll appreciate what it does. If not, the rest of this will probably bore you – click here to read something more interesting.

Our new Leads Manager takes all those farm reports and leads lists that you get and lets you work with them in a database instead of the spreadsheets they come in. Those of you who work with them all the time know exactly what I’m talking about. And for those who don’t, well, I’ll have more to say in upcoming posts.

And those posts will be a little more frequent now. I know I haven’t posted in a while. Sorry. [Exits stage laughing]
